Colorado weekly estimate
$461estimated per week
Up to 26 payable weeks
Based on your regular weekly rate; the final payment may be smaller.
The ordinary balance is the lesser of 26 weekly rates and one-third of credited base-period wages. Each quarter is limited to 26 times the current $884 maximum weekly rate for this balance. Weekly payments round down, so any fractional-dollar remainder is not payable. A final payment may be smaller.
- Weekly limit
- $884
- Waiting period

Assumes the same gross weekly pay throughout four 13-week quarters.
Current annual limits are $804 for the consecutive-quarter method and $884 for the full-base-period method. This draft covers new-claim guidance from July 5, 2026 through June 30, 2027, with a conservative review deadline before the next July adjustment. CDLE establishes the claim’s effective start date; older claims retain their original limits. Future amounts are not assumed.

The statutory quarterly wage-credit limit can produce a duration below the federal table’s 13-26-week range for concentrated wages. This reconciliation and current claim-start timing remain under review. Enter the four quarters selected on your CDLE monetary determination and confirm the award with the agency.

What shapes the award.
- Weekly range
- $25 to $884. Wage requirements still apply.
- Duration
- Up to 26 weeks under this program. The modeled benefit balance is $11,986.
- Dependents
- No dependents allowance in this modeled regular benefit.
- Base period
- First four of the last five completed calendar quarters before the first day of the benefit year. An alternate or extended period may be available under the state’s conditions. Understand the quarters.
- Alternate-period detail
- The last four completed quarters may be selected if the standard period does not qualify. Follow the Statement of Wages and Possible Benefits; the agency establishes the claim week and can adjust an alternate-period decision when employer wage reports arrive.
- Reporting work
- Report all hours and gross earned wages for the Sunday-Saturday week worked, even before payday. Include work and other income requested by CDLE. Election-judge wages, continuing regular part-time work, pensions, severance, school/seasonal restrictions and other offsets can require separate agency treatment.
- Covered-wage requirements
- Actual covered base-period wages must reach both $2,500 and 40 times the rounded, capped weekly rate. The $25 statutory minimum is not a guaranteed payment for a history that fails these wage tests. The ordinary estimate does not decide job separation or weekly nonmonetary eligibility.
- Partial-week conditions
- Work must be fewer than 32 hours, with gross earnings strictly below the regular weekly rate. For partial unemployment, disregard the first 50% of that rate, deduct excess earnings dollar for dollar, then round the remaining payment down. The older 25% flyer and the separate total-unemployment subsection are not the partial-unemployment rule.
- Duration conditions
- For the total award, each covered-wage quarter is credited up to $22,984 (26 times the current $884 maximum). Use the lesser of 26 times the regular weekly rate and one-third of those credited wages. The weekly rate and the $2,500/40-times-rate wage test use actual covered wages. Partial payments can spread the balance across more eligible calendar weeks before the benefit year ends.
- Work registration
- Register with Connecting Colorado online or through a local workforce center, as directed after filing. Follow CDLE’s registration deadline and any notice about approved job or union attachment; do not assume an exemption.
- Repeat benefit years
- If you received compensation in the prior benefit year, you must have worked for a covered employer since that year began and earned at least $2,000 from that work to qualify in the next year. The new ordinary base-period wage tests also apply. This estimate does not check that intervening-work history.
Before you count on it.
- Covered wages and employment are required.
- This checks only the modeled monetary rules. The agency also checks your employment history and other eligibility conditions.
- Separation, availability, work search and certification can affect payment.
- Tax withholding, offsets and agency adjustments can change the amount received.

Keeping the claim eligible.
Unless CDLE grants an exception, complete and report work-search activities each eligible week. Examples include applications, suitable job interviews, resume uploads and job-related assessments. Keep a verifiable record of activities and dates, and follow agency-assigned reemployment services. A universal fixed contact count is not assumed.
Read the official guidanceTaxes and the amount received.
Benefits are subject to federal and Colorado income tax. You may elect federal withholding at the federal rate and Colorado withholding at 4%. A withholding-status change is allowed no more than once per benefit year. The estimate is before taxes, child support and other offsets.

Waiting periods and processing time are different things.
- Apply with the agency
Use the official portal. Keep required records and confirm the claim or injury date.
- 0-day modeled wait
Colorado repealed the ordinary unpaid waiting week effective July 7, 2025, after the trust-fund trigger was met. Continue requesting each eligible week. Processing and adjudication can still delay payment; the repeal does not increase the total award.
- Certify and confirm payment
Request benefits weekly in MyUI+, including while CDLE reviews the claim. Report gross wages earned, all work hours and the work-search activities for the week, and respond to agency correspondence. Follow the weekly filing deadline and any assigned appointment; this estimate cannot predict a deposit date.

Questions about Colorado benefits.
How much unemployment will I get if I make $769.23 a week?
The modeled payment in Colorado is about $461 per week, before tax withholding. Assumes the same gross weekly pay throughout four 13-week quarters. The agency checks eligibility and can apply additional adjustments.
How long can the benefit last in Colorado?
This calculation allows up to 26 payable weeks under the modeled regular program. This count uses the regular weekly rate; the final payment may be smaller. Wage credits, the benefit-year balance, certification and continuing eligibility can shorten payment. A maximum duration is not a guarantee.
Is there a waiting period before the first payment?
Colorado repealed the ordinary unpaid waiting week effective July 7, 2025, after the trust-fund trigger was met. Continue requesting each eligible week. Processing and adjudication can still delay payment; the repeal does not increase the total award.
Why can my actual payment be different?
Uneven covered wages, the claim or injury date, part-time earnings, dependents, taxes, offsets and eligibility can change a result. Use actual wage details in the calculator and compare the assumptions with your agency determination.
